MERMAID is a small studio in Madrid making jewelry and swimwear in batches of 40 to 120 pieces. Everything is photographed on a white background, because you should see the product and not the styling. When something sells out, we say so and give you the date it comes back.

We keep three states and nothing else: in stock, pre-order with a ship date, sold out. No countdown timers, no "only 2 left" unless there really are two left.

Everything on white, because the product is the point
No beach, no model in a hat, no filtered light. Each piece is photographed on a plain white background with a soft shadow so you can see the size of a shell, the frost of sea glass and the exact green of the sage bikini. If a product looks different in real life, it is because the photo was too generous, and we would rather you notice that before you buy.

Small batches, and what that actually means
Our earrings are cast 60 pairs at a time. The swimwear runs are 80 pieces per colour, and the tote is woven four days at a time by one workshop in Andalusia. That is why things sell out and why we cannot restock in a week. The production dates are on each product page, not invented to create urgency.

Pre-order is a date, not a marketing trick
When a piece is on pre-order, the page gives the day it ships and you can cancel any time before that day for a full refund. We only open pre-orders when the material is already ordered and the production slot is booked. If the date moves, we message you before you have to ask.

Materials we can name
Brass with 2.5 to 3 microns of 18k gold plating. Freshwater pearls graded by hand. 925 sterling silver for the sea glass. Cellulose acetate for the claw clip. Recycled polyamide with 22% elastane for the swimwear, made in Portugal. No gold-filled, no vermeil, no waterproof claims. If it is plated, the page says plated.

Shipped from Madrid, without drama
Orders leave the studio within 24 to 48 hours, Monday to Friday. Spain takes 2 to 4 working days, the rest of the EU 3 to 6, the UK and Switzerland 4 to 7. Shipping is €4.90 in Spain and free from €80; the exact cost for your country is shown at checkout. Every parcel has tracking, and if it does not arrive we replace it.

You talk to the two people who make it
There is no support queue. WhatsApp goes to the studio phone, and we answer between 9:00 and 19:00 Madrid time, Monday to Friday. Ask for a photo of the exact sea glass piece, a size recommendation, a repair or a gift card message. If we are at the workshop, the reply takes a little longer, but it comes.
